Instructions to obtain a Property Bond:
- A Certificate of Ownership must be obtained from the Lafourche Parish Assessor’s Office and delivered to the Mortgage Department to begin the process of issuing the Mortgage Certificate for the property bond.
- All Mortgage Certificates issued for property bonds must be prepaid at the time of ordering.
- Property Bond Mortgage certificates are good until 12:00 midnight of same day issued.
UCC filings can be completed online through the Secretary of State.
