Election Day Commissioners currently make $200.00 per election while making a positive difference in our community and state! For more information call (985) 447-5266.

Election Day Commissioners in Charge make $250.00 per election.

RECERTIFICATION/PRE-ELECTION Q&A

ABBREVIATED MACHINE TRAINING


Election Day Commissioner Qualifications:

  • Be a registered voter in Lafourche Parish
  • Be at least 17 years old and a high school senior
  • Be able to complete the training course

Election Day Commissioner in Charge Qualifications

  • Worked two (2) elections as a Commissioner in the last four (4) years
  • Be a registered voter in Lafourche Parish
  • Be at least 17 years old and a high school senior
  • Be able to complete the training course

Interested parties for Election Day Work may begin the training by clicking here

Once the above training is completed, a Clerk of Court Election staff member will contact you to attend a hands-on voting machine training at the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court’s office.

Commissioner in Charge will receive a test from the Elections Department. Call 985-447-5266 if you are a current Commissioner wishing to become a Commissioner in Charge.
