Election Day Commissioners currently make $200.00 per election while making a positive difference in our community and state! For more information call (985) 447-5266.


Election Day Commissioner Qualifications:

  • Be a registered voter in Lafourche Parish
  • Be at least 17 years old and a high school senior
  • Be able to complete the training course

Job Description:

  • Election Day Worker – works only on Election Day
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to polls opening
  • Must be able to provide your own transportation to and from your assigned precinct
  • Must remain at your assigned location all day, you are unable to leave during your shift

Once the above training is completed, a Clerk of Court Election staff member will contact you to attend a hands-on voting machine training at the Lafourche Parish Clerk of Court’s office on one of the following dates:

May 17, 2022 at 5:00 PM

May 18, 2022 at 5:00 PM
